Worked in worsted weight yarn, with two colours at a time, Brayden is an exceptionally quick mittens and slipper socks project - equally suitable for colorwork novices and colorwork addicts.

Pictured knitted in Sea Mist, Peat, Sandstone, Berry

Materials Required:

  • Yarn Vibes Organic Worsted - requires 4 colors (A, B, C & D)
  • Option A: US7 (4.50mm) 60cm Circular Needles
  • Option B: US7 (4.50mm) Set of 4 Double Pointed Needles
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scrap Yarn
  • Measuring Tape

Sizing:

Slipper Socks:

To fit adult foot 18-20cm (7.25-8”) in circumference foot length approximately Size EU 38-40 (US 8-10) to reduce/increase size, go down/up in needle size in 0.5mm increments, as needed.

Mittens:

To fit adult hand with the following measurements:
18cm (7.25”) from wrist to tip of middle finger
18cm (7.25”) in circumference, measured at widest point
To reduce/increase size of mitten, go down/up in needle size in 0.5mm increments, as needed.

Gauge: 20 sts x 23 rounds = 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”)
